Welcome to the University Writing Centre (UWC) at the University of The Bahamas! The UWC is committed to supporting writers at all stages of the writing process. Through our constructive and cooperative sessions, we aim to promote stronger writing practices across disciplines through interaction, feedback, and consultation.  Sign up for a writing consultation in 4 easy steps!

Please note that all appointments are online only (email or live video chat). There are currently now 'in-person' appointments available for booking.

  • Book an "E-tutoring" appointment for emailed feedback on papers up to 5 pages in length.
  • Book an "Online Video Chat" appointment to discuss a paper in real time up (4 pages or less ideal) or to discuss plans/outlines during a live video session.

There is a limit of 2 appointments per week.

4. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE AFTER LOGGING IN.

 ***Appointment Cancellation Policy***

All session cancellations should be made two hours to 30 minutes prior to an appointment, making allowances for those students signed up on the waiting list.

Failure to attach a paper or show up for a UWC appointment after 15 minutes will be considered a "no-show." Two "no-shows" for the semester will result in the disabling of your UWC account for that semester.
